The last week of August, Bryan and I went camping with my parents and little brother to the redwoods in California. We had a blast! It was so beautiful there and really enjoyed spending time with my family.
I'm really glad we had the opportunity to go. It was a ton of fun. I love camping! I love to be out in nature and not have to worry about anything. Except mosquito bites, which I got a lot of. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication
Today we had the opportunity to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication. It was amazing. I enjoyed listening to the speakers, but I could really feel the spirit during the dedicatory prayer. It makes me so glad that I have the chance to attend the temple so often. It has been a real blessing in my life to have been called with Bryan as the temple coordinators in our ward; otherwise I don't think I would have gotten over my nervousness. Having the responsibility to go every month with the ward was the push I needed to become a more regular temple attender.
President Monson told a funny story about Pres. Uchtdorf that all enjoyed. They were in a 747 airplane, looking around and they went to the cockpit. Pres. Monson said that it was all he could to to stop Pres. Uchtdorf from sitting in the pilots seat, but he sat down anyway. As Pres. Uchtdorf put his hands on the wheel, Pres. Monson said, "Don't do it Dieter!" I think it was funnier hearing it, but I still chuckle thinking about it.
It was a great experience and I am glad I had the chance to witness it.

Something New
Yesterday, Liz, PJ, Bryan, and I went tandem bicycling. Its was pretty crazy, but a lot of fun. You have to work really hard with the person you are riding with in order to stay upright. Bryan and I only had one near-accident; but by the end, we were working pretty well together.
Afterwardsm we went over to Liz and PJ's place to have cookies and play a game. All in all, a great evening!

Happy Birthday Bryan!
So, we celebrated Bryan's birthday this last week (it was actually on sunday). We had a really good time. Last thursday we went to Tucanos and stuffed ourselves silly. It was kind of nice becuase we got a birthday card in the mail that gave Bryan a free meal there. Basically a two for one deal. Sweet!
On friday, we went to go see G.I. Joe with some friends of ours. We actually went to an older theater that plays new movies for $4. Yay! We went on opening day, got in for half the price it would normally cost at a normal theater, AND it was completely empty of anyone except the four of us. Pretty neat, right?
We went up to visit Bryan's parents on saturday. We had a really good time eating, talking, and playing games. Bryan liked the presents he got and the cake...so all in all, a successful trip.
On Bryan's actually birthday though, we had to work...sad! But at least we had a fun weekend!
